On the Sun Never Sets is an algorithmic sound performance that sonifies data derived from the sun's activity, transforming sunlight intensity information along with environmental data during sunsets. By mapping the phenomena to various sound parameters such as pitch, volume, and timbre, the performance creates a dynamic soundscape that reflects on these recorded mundane events and their relation to the process of archiving solar activities. In this case the data archive contains 144 recorded sunsets, tracked from February 2023 to May 2024.

On the Sun Never Sets, 2025, data sonification with projection; stereo composition; duration variable (45-145 minutes). The timing of the event is synchronized with the sunset time at the performance location. With accelerating speed, the composition provides a seemingly infinite variation to the same event happening outside the performance space. The performance was commissioned for the Next Festival 2025 in Bratislava.
